ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR TIMESCO AT MEDICA’S 40TH EXHIBITION!

22.12.2009 - MEDICA: 18th – 21st November

Timesco once again made an appearance at Medica from 18th – 21st November in Dusseldorf, Germany.

This was the 40th anniversary of the world’s largest medical trade fair, attracting 4337 exhibitors and 138,000 trade visitors from over 100 countries, almost 1000 visitors more than 2008. This year we displayed a dynamic new stand design, complete with a product feature space, video screens and a 6 metre high wall!

The show is a crucial platform for international medical companies to announce and introduce new innovative technologies and developments; therefore this was the ideal opportunity for us to formally introduce our new LED laryngoscope technology. For the first time customers were able to view the new XLED laryngoscope handle, which has been developed to provide bright-white illumination, whilst retaining all the advantages of existing Timesco laryngoscope handles. The XLED bulb provides over 30,000 hours of use, emits up to 3,720 lux and maximises battery life due to its low power consumption. Unlike other systems, our XLED bulb is easily removed allowing the whole handle to be efficiently cleaned via autoclaving. In conjunction with the promotion of Timesco’s XLED, we gave away two new iPod Nanos during the exhibition. Congratulations to Karin Storm from Jacomedic (Norway) and Ashraf Abdul Ghany from Saudi Medical Services (Saudi Arabia) who were the lucky winners!

We were also pleased to display our Optima Mini Diagnostic products, including the Mini Pocket Otoscope, Mini Pocket Opthalmoscope and the Mini Diagnostic Set. All products in this range are durable, lightweight and complete with bright white Xenon light. Again this was the first chance that customers had to see the new range, which is a compact alternative to the standard Orion diagnostic sets.

Thanks to the success of the show we will now be looking ahead to Medica 2010!
